Whose dream life am I living? This question came from a book I picked up in Paris last year, “Paris Letters” by Janice Macleod. It was like a smack in the face when I read it – am I living my own dream life? Am I living the dream life everyone else had envisioned for me? What is my dream life?
It was fate that brought me to Paris, France and the “Paris Letters”.

I was in Paris heading to Angelina’s with my travel group for some of their famous hot chocolate and desserts on Rue De Rivoli. We stopped in Galignani’s bookstore where they sell books in English. I love bookstores and could hang out in them for hours. I walked passed “Paris Letters” and after reading the back I instantly connected with it.

The author/narrator, Janice and I were both 34 and experiencing the same challenges in our personal and professional lives. We were at a crossroads of what to do next. Starting to question every decision to see if we were living life to its fullest potential. Questioning what fulfillment and contentment looked like for us both. Both wanting to end up in Paris unexpectedly. Like kindred spirits.
Who knew a book in Paris would lead me to start my own personal journey of reflection.

Since my birthday in September (Virgos rock!), I’ve seriously challenged myself to discover what, “living my dream life” means to me. Its forced me to ask myself tough questions and start to create my own vision for my life, absent of others’ expectations.
As a mother of two it’s not as easy to pick up and move to another continent as Janice did. My challenge to myself focuses on finding activities/hobbies that I’m passionate about and explore as many as possible.

So far I’ve tried learning French, gardening, yoga, sewing, and a few other creative classes. I have also stepped up my fitness as being healthy is important.
I’m excited to share how this mom of two, discovers, shapes and lives her dream life!
